What is Novel Night?
Step One: The Dinner Party
Once every other year, homes across Rye transform into immersive, themed dinner parties night, each one its own intimate chapter of the night. Guests will arrive in costumes based on their assigned theme party, the guest list is secret, the hosts are secret — and the magic is real. Cocktails flow, dinner is served, and fast, lasting friendships are made.
Step Two: The After Party
But to really take it to the next level, everyone reunites at Icons After Dark, for our glamorous late night finale at the beach club. Lots of dancing, desserts, cocktails, more connections and the grand reveal of the night's most iconic looks will be had.
What Does Novel Night Support?
First and foremost. Novel Night is a fundraiser and essential for funding the Rye Free Reading Room with each ticket directly contributing to the Library's programs, collections, facilities, and community offerings. The Rye Free Reading room relies on the success of this event that brings joys to children AND adults of all ages.
Your ticket purchase will ensure children's programming, summer reading initiatives, annual Spelling Bee, museum passes, the Express Collection, and the vibrant calendar of events that make the Library a landmark community institution in downtown Rye can continue at no cost. And like a true Icon, Novel Night also funds a lasting impression including creating the Discovery Zone enjoyed by small children daily and the new enrichment programming powered by Learnique, bringing hands-on educational experiences to Rye's youngest readers.

How it Works?
New this year is a tiered ticket process. Two dates to remember July 15th are sponsorship level and July 29th is general admission. More information can be found on the ticketing tab.
Sponsorship level tickets increase your chance of being assigned your preferred dinner-party selection! in addition to contributing meaningfully to the library’s critical programs. To sweeten the deal, VIP tiers also unlock access to the exclusive VIP Bar at Icons After Dark.
New this year, select ticket packages guarantee you can attend the dinner party of your choice with your friends.
General admission tickets continue to be a critical avenue to support the library and include admission to both dinner AND desserts/dancing at Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club. We have kept general admission ticket price levels flat with 2024.
